Unicoi Systems Expands Voice Codec Offering
Fusion Voice Engine™ now Supports iLBC
ATLANTA, GEORGIA – January 24, 2011– Unicoi Systems, Inc. (Unicoi), a leading provider of Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions to the embedded device market, announces support for iLBC (internet Low Bitrate Codec) within the Fusion Voice Engine.

The Fusion Voice Engine is a comprehensive software suite consisting of an extensive set of algorithms and codecs designed to allow application developers, service providers and hardware manufacturers to easily build VoIP or Radio over IP (RoIP) technology into their solutions. The Fusion Voice Engine includes a high level API to easily manage analog channels, digital channels and mixers. Its extensible plug-in architecture allows developers to easily add custom codecs and/or proprietary echo cancellation components. In addition, it is designed to support a wide range of sampling rates: 8kHz (Narrow Band Audio), 16kHz (HD Audio), 32kHz (Ultra-HD Audio) and 48kHz (CD Audio).
