Unicoi Systems Selected as One of Georgia’s Most Innovative Technology Companies

Unicoi chosen for innovation and success in the embedded software industry

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – March 6, 2007 – The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) has selected Unicoi Systems, a leading provider of embedded software and reference designs to consumer and industrial electronics manufacturers worldwide, as one of the Top 40 Innovative Georgia Technology Companies for 2007. This is TAG's third annual Top 40 competition, which recognizes the most innovative technology companies in Georgia.

The Top 40 Innovators are chosen based on a number of criteria, including: degree of innovation; scope and financial impact of innovation; likelihood of success; and promotion of Georgia's innovative efforts nationally and internationally.

Unicoi Systems was chosen for its success as a company and for the development of its innovative IP Media Platform, a comprehensive suite of multimedia software and hardware that enables product developers to create easy-to-use Internet access devices.  Key features of the platform include a web browser, webmail, a Voice over IP (VoIP) softphone, instant messaging, a file manager and a media player.  Devices built on the platform offer "instant on, instant off”, and do not require anti-virus or spyware protection or complicated management software.
